Vasco: The convener of Mormugao block congress committee Sankalp Amonkar said that he will file a supplementary case of corruption against local MLA and power minister Milind Naik before the Lokayukta for allegedly distributing Ganesh chaturthi goodies worth 500 each with his name printed on the goody bag.
Complaints will be filed before the vigilance department and election commission as well, said Amonkar.
"An inquiry should be conducted on where he has got so much money without showing any source of income. It should be recorded as election expenses by the election commission," he added.
Congress spokesperson Sunil Kawthankar has already filed a corruption complaint against Naik before Lokayukta and this will add to it, said Amonkar. Amonkar alleged that the distribution of Chaturthi provisions is being done by the minister's workers. When TOI contacted Naik he said, "I am totally unaware of any goodies being distributed, nor has anyone seen me doing so. I have many well wishers and if they do it on my behalf I cannot be held responsible."
