Mauvin to contest Goa polls on BJP ticket

VASCO: Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho has reiterated that he would contest the forthcoming assembly election from Dabolim constituency on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.
Godinho was addressing the press in Vasco on Saturday in order to clear his stand that he would not contest the forthcoming assembly election on Congress ticket.
“My stand is clear that I would contest the forthcoming assembly election on BJP ticket”, stated Godinho and maintained that he has always been sabotaged by Congress leaders. He recalled that the Congress has never fulfilled his dreams which were related to developmental projects in his erstwhile Cortalim constituency.
“The Congress Goa Desk Incharge Singh is pretending to issue tickets to sitting legislators in the forthcoming assembly election”, told Godinho and further disclosed that people should never fall prey to the false propaganda of Congress leaders.
He however maintained that the BJP has completed most of its promises which he had given to the people of Dabolim constituency. “I will always be loyal to the BJP”, said Godinho.
Godinho criticised the local Congress leaders including Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Luizinho Faleiro and the leader of the opposition Pratapsingh Rane for not having credibility. “The Congress leaders have no guts to speak against the BJP leaders”, added Godinho. He alleged that the Congress leaders are demoralised due to the defeat in the recently held assembly polls in various states. He also said that the Congress leaders have no guts to expel him from party.
