PANAJI: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Panaji on Friday granted conditional bail to the GCA president Chetan Desai, secretary Vinod Phadke and treasurer Akbar Mulla in the alleged misappropriation of GCA’s Rs 3.13 crore.
Vijayalaxmi Shivolkar, JMFC, Panaji granted conditional bail on the conditions that the accused shall not visit the office of GCA for a period of 15 days since the granting of this bail without the prior permission of the court and shall not take part in any activity of the GCA for the period mentioned above.
The accused have been directed to attend the office of EOC Panaji for 4 days between 9.30 am to 5.30 pm with one hour lunch break from June 25, 2016 to June 28, 2016. Accused shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threats or promise to any person acquainted with the fact of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or to any police officer or tamper with the evidence, reads the order adding that the accused shall furnish surety of Rs 1 lakh.
