Malvakar case: Let law take its course, says Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekar

Panaji: Goa chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, on Friday, defended the re-instatement of his brother-in-law Dilip Malvakar, a Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) field officer, who was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe by the officials of anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of directorate of vigilance, a few months ago.

Replying to media queries, Parsekar said that he (Malvankar) should not get a higher quantum of punishment. "The law will take its own course. The decision to reinstate him is an administrative one," Parsekar said.
In a scathing attack on Parsekar, Delhi chief minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, during his recent visit to Goa, questioned about what kind of governance can the state expect from Parsekar if this is the state of affairs.
