2 Anjunem dam gates opened as waters rise

Keri: As the water level of Anjunem dam reached 89.4m, the water resources department opened gate nos. 1 and 3 as a precautionary measure.
Executive engineer Dnyaneshwar Salelkar said, "Since the last few days, the catchment area of the Anjunem dam has been receiving heavy monsoonal rain. As a precaution, we have opened two gates to release water. Since, it is 3m short of its full reservoir capacity. Those living in the vicinity of the Costi river are also informed to remain alert as water level will rise".
