BICHOLIM: A 27-year-old woman from Bordem was attacked by unidentified motorcyclists who also snatched away a gold chain she was wearing, on Wednesday night while she was returning from work.
Police said the incident occurred around 8pm when the assailants hit Pooja Gurudas Pal on her head with an iron rod and fled after snatching a chain weighing 12g from her neck, at an isolated place. Locals rushed to the spot after Pal screamed for help and took her to the nearest PHC. She was later shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital for further treatment. The case is being probed, police said.
