Panaji: The state personnel department on Thursday issued an official memorandum to extend benefits of the VIth Central Pay Commission’s recommendations to group ‘D’ workers who have been designated as multi-tasking staff.
All employees recruited after January 1, 2006, under various group ‘D’ categories and who possess the minimum educational qualification of SSC/ITI pass, shall be placed in the 5,200 to 20,200 pay grade.
Departments have been directed to withdraw all recruitment rules relating to various posts in group ‘D’ categories. Henceforth, only one recruitment rule for multi-tasking staff shall be in force. Peons, guards, cleaners, gardeners are among those designated as multi-tasking staff.
