PANAJI: City police has arrested a 32-year-old native of Dharwad Karnataka on charges of kidnapping a minor girl. Police has identified the accused as Kala Jafarsab. The accused and the victim girl were traced in Margao on Monday evening by the Panaji police team comprising of PSI Arun Dessai, PC Rupesh, Gurayya, LPC Suman and Dhanshree.
According to police a complaint in this regard was lodged by the brother of the victim on Saturday claiming his sister (minor in age) was kidnapped by the accused.
Subsequently Panaji police begun a search operation and finally based on the mobile phone location managed to trace both the accused as well as the victim in Margao. It is learnt that the accused and the victim are known to each other. Police has arrested the accused Jafarsab who is said to be working as a daily wage labourer.
