Mapusa cops rescue ‘kidnapped boy’

Mapusa: Mapusa police rescued a minor boy who was allegedly kidnapped by his mother and four unidenitified persons.
Police said that the six-year-old was restrained at his mother's friend's house in Usgao.
Police had registered a case against the mother and four unidenitified for allegedly kidnapping a minor from the guardianship of his father. Acting on the complaint filed by the grandmother of the boy, police registered a cognizable offencee against Veena Patkar and four accused.
Police arrested two accused- Jerome Figuero and Atik Goladar- both residents of Vasco on Saturday evening . Acting on the information obtained from the interrogations, Mapusa police rescued the minor boy and handed him over to his father.
