GU investigating ‘leak’ of eng question paper

PANJIM: Comments by students of an allegedly leaked engineering course question paper are doing the rounds on social media prompting Goa University (GU) to initiate an inquiry into the matter.
According to messages circulated on Facebook, the final semester paper of Computer Cyrptography and Network Security was supposedly leaked to a section of students before it was held on May 31. However, it came to be known only after the exams were held.
“The question paper was leaked to students of a particular college. This is not the first time because in the past too, the same subject question papers have been leaked. But authorities take no action,” one of the ‘victim’ students told Herald requesting anonymity.
The only setback is that the matter was exposed after the exam was held. GU has nonetheless initiated an inquiry calling for all related records.
“All the material related to the alleged paper leak will be recorded during the inquiry. Any student wishing to come forward to assist our probe is welcome,” a senior GU official said adding, “If there is any truth in the matter, we will not shy away from taking strict action against the guilty and filing a police complaint.”
