PANJIM: All primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in Goa will reopen for new academic year from Monday. The speculation over postponing of the reopening due to heat and delay in arrival of monsoon has been cleared by the Director of Education G P Bhat. He said that schools will reopen as scheduled on June 6.
On Sunday markets were full of parents buying books and stationeries for their children. In Panjim the market was crowded in the evening.
With the reopening of the schools, the domestic tourists have moved out of the state since Saturday.
