Parrikar puts politics above portfolio: AAP

PANAJI: Condemning the terrorist attack in Kashmir in which 17 soldiers were martyred, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the defence minister Manohar Parrikar of prioritizing electoral politics in Goa over his defence ministry portfolio.

"The Aam Aadmi Party salutes the soldiers for their extreme sacrifices in the line of duty and sympathizes with their families over their massive loss. When the security of the nation is being challenged by forces working against the country, our defence minister is busy commenting sarcastically on the personal health of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal," AAP Goa secretary Valmiki Naik commented, while pointing out that this was not a one off incident.
The AAP leadership refused to draw parallels when questioned about the absence of Delhi's top leadership from the capital at a time when it is suffering a severe outbreak of mosquito borne diseases.
"The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is in charge of taking preventive measures of de-fogging before the onset of monsoons. There are unused funds from the Swachh Bharat campaign and the lieutenant governor transferred the health secretary who was doing a good job," party spokesperson Joe Gomes responded.
