Sudin extends support to Sawal

BICHOLIM: State public works department (PWD) minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar alias Sudin has assured support to Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal in case a Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP-MGP) alliance ticket is allotted to him after he formally joins MGP. He also made it clear that the final discussion on MGP ticket distribution will be taken only after October 4.

Dhavalikar made this statement during a meeting with Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal at Mayem lake premises on Sunday. The meeting was attended by around 300 supporters of Sawal who questioned Dhavalikar about Sawal's fate if he joins MGP.
Dhavalikar made it clear that, as of today, he is supporting Sawal in every respect, and extended full support if the MGP-BJP ticket is granted to Sawal. However, he said a detailed discussion on this issue will be held only after pitru paksha period (considered inauspicious by Hindus) ends on October 4. He also said leaders like Sawal are required in other constituencies in order to strengthen the MGP.
Dhavalikar was in Bicholim to inaugurate the Onam festival at Mahamaya temple hall, Bordem. The festival was organized by Kalpaka cultural association, Bicholim, which was also attended by Sawal.
