Doors still open for Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party: Goa Suraksha Manch

PANAJI: Newly formed political outfit Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) held its first media briefing on Wednesday, where party president Anand Shirodkar said that their doors are still open for the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) for an alliance.

"Our priority is to defeat the BJP government in Goa. We are contesting from 35 constituencies and have already formed booth level committees in them. We have 10,000 active workers and the party's manifesto is being prepared. The youth and women's conventions of the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) will be held by December 2. We are confident of winning in all the constituencies and forming the government," Shirodkar said.
GSM will contest the upcoming state polls not only on the issue of medium of instruction at the primary schools level and the party's stand on various issues of importance to Goa like the regional plan, casinos and mining will be made clear in a month's time, Kiran Nayak said, adding that their doors are always open for anyone who supports their stand on the medium of instruction issue and the offer is not limited to the MGP.
