PANAJI: Ailing deputy speaker Vishnu Wagh's health has shown further improvement as of Sunday, his close associates said. Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar visited Wagh on Sunday at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai where he is undergoing treatment. Wagh though continues to be on a ventilator.

When doctors attempted to convey to Wagh that Parsekar had come to visit him, his friends said that the ailing St Andre MLA appeared to break into a faint smile.
A press note issued by the government earlier this month said that Wagh is under the treatment of a panel of three specialist doctors Dr Hedge (intensive care unit), Dr P P Ashok (neuro), Dr G R Kane (cardiac). On August 21, eye movement was noticed in Wagh.
